Wise men still seek Him

Why do we celebrate Christmas? The lights, parties, goodies, and presents are all very exciting and fun. Christmas shopping, merry music, and decorating the tree are just some of my favorite things to do around this special time of season. Sometimes during all of the hustle and bustle I really have to stop and ask myself, "Why do we celebrate Christmas? What makes this the most wonderful time of the year?"

It is amazing to try and comprehend the reality that we literally get the opportunity to celebrate the birth of our Savior. I think of the star shining brightly and the angels singing of the Christ child's birth! What a wonderful night that must have been to witness! Wise men sought after him and brought the child gifts. Today we are reminded by our church leaders that wise men still seek Him!I know that the Savior came to this earth, fulfilled the mission that Heavenly Father gave Him, and that He will come again. I know it! It is my hope and prayer that at this special time of year that our Savior Jesus Christ we be in our hearts and that we will continually strive to seek Him now and throughout the year.
